We have been delighted to see such an
outstanding turnout at our exhibition on 2 May 2013 at Wolverhampton
Racecourse. Our member companies represented
the finest in Midland’s based manufacturing and engineering and welcomed an
impressive range of visitors from hundreds of companies across the UK. They certainly did themselves proud in
partaking in a great day to celebrate Midlands manufacturing and made a real
difference in how manufacturing is perceived against the economic gloom. We were also incredibly pleased to welcome so
many college and university students in the afternoon.
Made in the Midlands has continued to flourish over the last year and we were really pleased to see this reflected in our best and biggest exhibition to date. To ensure that we got everything in, we made it a day-long event which has proven to enable our member’s to make new contacts, investigate all that is available to do business locally and gain new ideas for growth and progression. It also allowed us time to hold a number of seminars throughout the day, covering subjects from intellectual property for manufacturing and engineering to advancements in metallurgy and even insights into the way the supply chain works by Jaguar Land Rover.
As a membership group we have continued to grow at a considerable rate in working with a number of innovative and committed engineering and manufacturing companies.
Our success is the success of our members and we look forward to another year of making an important shift in how manufacturing and engineering is perceived and helping to grow the sector.
