The Midlands truly represents the heart of Great British manufacturing, which is why we want to celebrate the elite 1% of companies that are members of Made in the Midlands.
There is an estimated 32,000 manufacturing companies based here in the Midlands and we currently have just over 360 members. A vast majority of our members will be exhibiting at the upcoming Made in the Midlands exhibition which will be hosted at the world-class Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday 25th May.
Made in the Midlands members include some of the most innovative businesses in the manufacturing sector: For example, Salop Design and In-Comm Training were involved in unveiling the plans to create a £3m new manufacturing and development centre that aims to support 2020 learners by 2020. Also, MTI Welding Technologies post-Brexit EU Sales have soared past €4 million. Our membership base undoubtedly represents a group of manufacturers that want to diversify, innovate and expand their businesses.
Our members represent just 1% of the manufacturing base in the Midlands, but our combined strength is outstanding. The combined turnover of industry-leading manufacturers that will be in attendance at the exhibition is set to eclipse over £4 billion. The exhibition is set to attract over 2,000 representatives of the Midlands manufacturing sector.
Made in the Midlands CEO Jason Pitt said: “We would like to encourage buyers, purchasers, procurement teams and other representatives of manufacturing businesses across the Midlands to visit the exhibition and join the 1%. Our members actively utilise their memberships to create future business opportunities and the exhibition will highlight the quality of our members.”
Made in the Midlands events provide businesses with an opportunity to meet manufacturing firms with turnover’s worth over £1m and key industrialists from the manufacturing sector. Members such as MAHLE Powertrain, Liberty Pressing Solutions and I M Kelly Automotive will all be exhibiting at the show for the very first time.
I M Kelly Automotive’s Sales and Marketing Manager, David Rose said: “I think anybody that has not previously attended the Exhibition before should seize the opportunity this year as the membership base continues to evolve. Come along and join the cream of the Midlands manufacturing crop.”
