You can help change the perception of industry to young people
Made in the Midlands and it's members visit local schools and colleges to give young people a positive view of engineering and industry. We do this through public speaking in local colleges and our awards event.
How does the competition work?
The students develop an innovative idea that they can turn into a manufactured product, this can be either through illustrations or a prototype.
The best applications are then invited to present their idea to a panel of experts that include, Made in the Midlands members and sponsors.
The top three applications are then invited to the annual Made in the Midlands awards event, the winner is presented with a locally made cut glass trophy and photo with key note speaker. The audience consists of more than 100 manufacturing MD's from some of the leading Midlands engineering companies.
